Welcome to the Combined Chinese and Filipino Boxing (CCFB) website. CCFB is the ability to adapt, blend and absorve different styles, concepts and techniques. For example the eagle claw pressure points can be blend with the Filipino way of fighting. I took principles and rhythm from the wushu and I mixed it harmonically with Filipino styles. My way of teaching is different...

CCFB includes my experiences from all the countries that I have travelled, fought and tought at. CCFB is a system which born from Systems! They asked me if there is a curricullum in my system. The answer is yes. There are 6 Levels. The main influence comes from Chinese Northern Styles of Gung Fu and Filipino Panantukan or Dirty Boxing.

My deep knowledge in Gong fu helped me to understand better and teach the Filipino kinisiology. Chinese and Filipino systems have something common which called flow. From my personal experience flow is something very difficult to achieved by a beginner in martial arts. Even experience martial artists can have luck of flow in their movement and is more difficult to them to learn it because they have to "empty the cup of knowledge".

They keep asking me what is flow? For me flow is how comfortable you feel with your techniques and your enviroment. There plenty of exercises in CCFB to develop your flow, timing and sensitivity.

Developing your speed is another very important ability someone must have. I strongly believe that speed (with timing) bring the power you need to achieved your blow and I used as an example the "bullet".

CCFB as this website is always under development and research.

The Birth of my logo.

I created this symbol during my years in England in the house of my lifetime partner and friend Mark Cook, around 1994. Where I was needed a symbol to represent me and the power of my system. It took me about 6 hours to designed it on a piece of A4 paper and resulted to an amazing symbol!!!

Circle is an ancient and universal symbol of unity, wholeness and infinity. It represents the "whole" and the no ending loop of knowledge, development and research. This is also the idea why I developed CCFB.

The triangle is one of the strongest geometrical structures and stands for strength. Many training halls incorporate the triangle into their logo. It represents numerous underlying philosophical, theoretical and metaphysical principles in the Filipino martial arts. Applications of the triangle are found in defensive and offensive tactical strategies, including footwork, stances, blocking and disarms. The triangle in CCFB also symbolizes the triangle clan of the Shaolin temple. And here comes the blend of Chinese and Filipino styles.

To the Greeks, the triangle is seen as the delta glyph and is symbolic of a doorway. This really appeals to me because it revisits the combination of polarities to push out a new opening. For example, balancing thought and emotion would provide a doorway to higher wisdom (the hypotenuse).

Eagle represent the style of Eagle Claw Gung fu I was practicing for several years. Dragon is a generic style that represents Gung Fu itself. These two animals have something in common..... powerful CLAWS!!!!! So pressure points it's a very important aspect of my teachings. Human anatomy goes with the pack.

What Bruce Lee said once "Absorb what is useful, Discard what is not, Add what is uniquely your own" Expose yourself to various conditions and learn. This is CCFB this is my art, this is my Gong Fu.
