WHAT IS CCFB?

CCFB, or Combined Chinese & Filipino Boxing, refers to the ability to adapt, blend, and absorb various martial arts styles, concepts, and techniques. This unique approach incorporates principles and flow derived from Chinese wushu and harmoniously blends them with Filipino styles of fighting.

The system incorporates my experiences from all the countries I have traveled, fought, and taught in. My involvement in various styles gave birth to this system. It follows a hierarchical structure consisting of nine levels, with the sixth level being equivalent to the black belt. You can read more about the structure of the system here.

The main influence came from Chinese Northern Styles of Kung Fu and the Filipino Panantukan or Dirty Boxing.

My deep knowledge and experience in Kung Fu helped me to better understand and teach Filipino kinesiology. Chinese and Filipino systems share a common element known as 'flow,' which refers to how comfortable you feel with your techniques and your environment. CCFB  offers numerous exercises to develop your flow, timing, and sensitivity.

Speed development and accuracy are two other very important skills that someone must have and develop. I strongly believe that speed, together with timing, serves as the power you need to effectively achieve your strikes or techniques.

The system is constantly under evaluation and development in collaboration with the team that comprises it.

Based on simple principles and instinctive movements, this reality-based system is designed to teach real self-defense in the shortest possible time. You will learn how to defend against common chokes, grabs, and bearhugs, as well as weapons such as guns, knives, and sticks. Equally important, we teach people how to function during the stress and shock of a sudden, violent encounter.
