BEGINNERS - LEVEL

 

I welcome all the new members in the beginner's level. This is a NO LEVEL AREA, the area 0. You will need to know the following in order to continue for the Level 1. Have a nice journey and remember  " the dream begins with a teacher who believes in you"!

 

It's the only level that if you feel ready to pass it, you can ask me το examine you.

Basic Terminology

  • Chon (Attention - προσοχή) .

  • Galang (Salute - χαιρετισμός).

  • Pahinga (At Ease - ανάπαυση).

  • Handa (On Guard – σε άμυνα.

  • Opo (Yes Sir).

  • Hindi Po (No Sir).

Footwork

  • Forward triangle (female) Offensive .

  • Backward triangle (male) Defensive.

Kicks - Sikaran

  • Stomp Kick

  • Front Heel Kick

  • Front Ball Kick

  • Side Kick

  • Roundhouse Kick

  • Back Kick

Knife

 

​Basic knife grips.

  • Pakal. 

  • Sak Sak.

Knife Tapping

  • Pendulum with cross hand & stepping.

  • Corkscrew with cross hand & stepping.

Hubad (coordination flow drills)

  • Basic Pakal (segan & palusot).

  • Basic Pakal & Cut (segan & palusot).

  • Basic Sak sak (segan & palusot).

  • Palasut to Palasut.

 

Drills & techniques

  • 6 count palusot (sak sak)  with armed receiver and guintings.

  • J-Drill phase 1 (Eagle catch to trachea)
