WHAT IS CCFB?
CCFB is the ability to adapt, blend and absorb various martial arts styles, concepts and techniques. I used principles and flow from Chinese wushu and blent them harmoniously with Filipino styles of fighting.
The system incorporates my experiences from all the countries I have travelled, fought and taught in. My system was born from my involvement in various styles. There are 9 levels of hierarchy, where the 6th level equals the black belt. You can read more about the systems' structure here.
The main influence came from Chinese Northern Styles of Kung Fu and the Filipino Panantukan or Dirty Boxing.
My deep knowledge and experience in Kung Fu helped me to better understand and teach the Filipino kinesiology. Chinese and Filipino systems have something in common, which is called "flow". Flow is how comfortable you feel with your techniques and your environment. There are plenty of exercises in CCFB to develop your flow, timing and sensitivity.
Speed development and accuracy are two other very important skills, someone must have and develop. I strongly believe that speed (together with timing) serves the power you need to achieve effectively your strike or your technique.
The system is always under constant evaluation and development in collaboration with the team who comprise it.
Based on simple principles and instinctive movements, this reality-based system is designed to teach real self-defense in the shortest possible time. Learn to defend against common chokes, grabs, and bearhugs, as well as weapons such as guns, knives, and sticks. Just as important, we teach people to function during the stress and shock of a sudden, violent encounter.
"We become what we behold.
We shape our tools and our tools shape us!"
